The ongoing feud between Emiway and King over the debate between being independent versus signing with a label shows no signs of slowing down. This conflict began in May 2024 when King made a statement in an interview, declaring, “Independent vs label yeh ek hoax hai jo market me phailaya gya hai.”
This remark emphasized that the debate over staying independent or signing with a label is a serious and significant issue within the music industry.
Shortly afterward, Emiway released his track “Independent,” which many perceived as a critique of artists who choose to align themselves with labels, claiming “Independent vs Label ye koi hoax nahi”
Following Emiway’s track, the two artists began a series of indirect exchanges on social media platforms like Instagram and Twitter, where they took subtle shots at each other.
The tension between them escalated when King released his album “Monopoly Moves.” One particular track from the album, “Fuck What They Say,” featuring MC Stan, included direct shots at Emiway, further intensifying the rivalry.
The lyrics of the track were filled with jabs, such as, “YouTube ke rapper ne jis din kiya mujhe khaali baithe yu hi be-wajah diss,” which directly calls out Emiway’s approach, and flex bars like, “Ussi din ghusa baitha raja Under 30 Asians Forbes ki list,” showcasing King’s success and stature.
In response to these direct attacks, Emiway teased another diss track titled “#flushwhattheysay,” aimed squarely at King, using Instagram to build anticipation for his upcoming release.

Meanwhile, during a recent King concert, fans were heard chanting “F*ck Emiway.” However, King handled the situation with maturity, choosing not to escalate the conflict further.

Despite the heated exchanges, King appears to be maintaining a more composed stance, while Emiway seems poised to continue the battle with his forthcoming diss track.
As the controversy over being independent versus signing with a label continues to unfold, it’s clear that both artists are deeply invested in this ongoing rivalry, and neither side seems ready to back down anytime soon.
