Drake’s ongoing feud with Kendrick Lamar reached new heights as the Toronto megastar unleashed his latest salvo in the form of “Taylor Made Freestyle,” dropping it on Instagram in the early hours of Saturday (April 20). What sets this track apart is Drake’s innovative use of AI technology, incorporating computer-generated vocals from hip-hop legends Tupac Shakur and Snoop Dogg to intensify his message to Lamar.

The song kicks off with an eerie rendition of Tupac, urging Lamar to respond to Drake’s previous diss track, “Push Ups,” for the sake of West Coast hip-hop.

“Kendrick, we need ya, the West Coast savior,” echoes Tupac’s simulated voice, setting the tone for the fiery exchange to follow.

Following Tupac’s lead, AI Snoop Dogg steps up to the mic, delivering verses presumed to be created using artificial intelligence. His lines echo the urgency of the situation, urging Lamar to take action and defend his position in the rap game.

But it’s Drake who ultimately takes center stage, delivering blistering bars aimed squarely at Lamar. “How are you not in the booth?” Drake questions, expressing frustration at Lamar’s apparent reluctance to engage in the feud. He implores Lamar to step up and deliver a response, refusing to let the tension die down.

In a particularly pointed verse, Drake suggests that Lamar’s delay in dropping a diss track may be influenced by Taylor Swift’s recent album release, “The Tortured Poets Department.” He implies that Lamar is allowing Swift’s dominance in the media to overshadow their feud, adding another layer of complexity to their ongoing rivalry.

“Now we gotta wait a f**kin’ week, ’cause Taylor Swift is your new Top,” Drake asserts, highlighting the perceived influence of Swift on Lamar’s decision-making process. “And if you ’bout to drop, she got to approve. This girl really ’bout to make you act like you not in a feud,” he adds, suggesting that Lamar’s actions are dictated by factors beyond the hip-hop sphere.
